Platform Construction| Journal of Public Administration and Chinese Public Policy Review were selected as the CSSCI Source Journals (2021-2022)

Recently, according to the Selection Method of Source Journals of Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index of the Institute for Chinese Social Sciences Research and Assessment of Nanjing University, the Journal of Public Administration has been selected once again as a source journal of CSSCI (2021-2022), and the Chinese Public Policy Review has also been admitted again to the list of the collection journals of CSSCI (2021-2022). Since 2012, the Journal of Public Administration has been selected as the CSSCI source journal and since 2014, the Chinese Public Policy Review has been selected as well. The consecutive years of selection fully reflects the academic community’s glowing recognition of the academic quality of these two journals.

The Journal of Public Administration and the Chinese Public Policy Review are jointly supported by the China Public Administration Research Center/School of Government of Sun Yat-sen University. Among them, the Journal of Public Administration has always adhered to its tenet since its inception in 2008. It advocates standardized and rigorous research methods in order to improve the quality of public administration research and it responds to the practice of public administration and constructs the localization theory of public administration. Additionally, it follows up on the frontier of international public administration theory and carries out constructive academic dialogue as well as carrying forward public spirit and serving China’s public administration practice. At the present time, its publications cover various types of texts such as research papers, book reviews, theoretical reviews, research reviews and abstracts of doctoral dissertations. Furthermore, it continues to focus upon the forefront of major issues in the field of public administration and adheres to adopting manuscripts according to their academic quality. Previously, the Journal of Public Administration was successfully selected to the Recommended list of FMS Management Science High Quality Journals (Chinese journals) (2020).

Since its foundation in 2007, the Chinese Public Policy Review has been focused on solving public and social problems in China by integrating academic, applied, and professional nature. In addition to being included in the collection of CSSCI (2021-2022), it has also been admitted to the Important Source Journal of Reprinting Newspaper Materials of Renmin University of China (2020). Among the 29 journals of public administration that are included in this collection, the Chinese Public Policy Review is the only one that was selected as the source journal of CSSCI.
